Hi, My name is John and I am a DBT Skills Trainer and Coach.
I have been working in a Mental Health setting for over 2 years, starting as a Support Worker. I then moved into the Occupational Therapy Department where I work closely with the Psychology Department. Wanting to better help my Service Users, I wanted to teach DBT Skills, whilst studying to work towards becoming a fully fledged DBT Therapist. To help me on my way, I am currently studying Psychology with counselling.
For me, helping people isn't just a job, but a passion. Mental Health is also a passion, and have experienced it myself in the past.
My aim is to help you better deal with your mental health problems in a calm, friendly and professional way.
Taking the first step to get help can be one of the hardest, but one of the best. Whilst I cannot offer Therapy at this time, I can offer the skills to better manage your emotions. For many, this can be very challenging. But DBT skills will help you do so
